Tropical Fuck Storm - A Laughing Death in Meatspace
ReviewsCommentThe debut album from this Melbourne supergroup is rife with wry political commentary and colorful post-punk arrangements.
Ty Segall - Freedom's Goblin
ReviewsCommentSometimes cumbersome but mostly exciting, Ty Segall's latest album is his longest and most ambitious yet.
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Gumboot Soup
ReviewsCommentThough not stylistically consistent, Gumboot Soup is one of the strongest batches of songs King Gizzard put out in 2017.
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Polygondwanaland
ReviewsCommentKing Gizzard has released a proggy new album into the public domain, and it's perhaps the band's most holistic and ambitious effort this year.
King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - "Crumbling Castle"
New Tracks1 CommentKing Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard seem to have their fourth album of 2017 locked and loaded, and while I haven't been particularly impressed by the past two releases, this latest single has got my mouth watering. "Crumbling Castle" is one of the most epic, multi-faceted, and mystical tracks the band has delivered thus far. And they're apparently making good on their promise of five albums this year, so I guess we'll be hearing this one real soon.
Oh Sees - Orc
ReviewsComment(Thee) Oh Sees is a well-oiled psych rock machine on Orc.
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard - Murder of the Universe
ReviewsCommentMurder of the Universe might be King Gizzard's most musically and conceptually ambitious project to date, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired.
