A solid little collab between the West Coast rapper and production crew.

M.E.D. Blu and Madlib - Bad Neighbor
ReviewsCommentWest Coast rap vets M.E.D., Blu and Madlib come through with a collaborative album with mixing so questionable that I can barely tell what's being said and who is saying it half the time.
MED/Blu/Madlib - "Knock Knock" ft. MF DOOM (Video)
New TracksCommentLA hip hop triumvirate MED, Blu, and Madlib is set to release a full-length collaboration called Bad Neighbor on October 30 via MED's Bang Ya Head imprint. In the above animated clip, featured emcee DOOM enjoys a balanced breakfast - a bowl of "Madlib's Raw Shit" brand cereal with melk and a can of Bitches Brew. Aloe Blacc, Phonte, Hodgy Beats, and Anderson .Paak have also been named as guests. Get hyped for this one!
Blu - Good To Be Home
ReviewsCommentBlu's latest album is pure ambition hampered by an incredibly weak recording.
Blu - "The Return"
New TracksCommentWest Coast rapper Blu seems to have fully recovered from the label drama that surrounded his last commercial release, No York. It's no secret that his output has been a little rocky since then, but he seems to be back in full form on this new track from his forthcoming double album, "The Return."
Lyrically, this song is a bit of a trip down memory lane for Blu, talking about his come-up, and the surroundings he grew up in. I love the fat, compressed, chunky production on this track, too. It's got kind of a weird, psychedelic quality to it that I like. I feel like I'm listening to this track on a really old cassette or something. The string and horn samples come through really nicely, too. The singing toward the back-end of this track is pretty wonderful, too.
Again, this track is gonna be one of many on a double album titled Good To Be Home. I'm expecting an immense amount of ambition on this one. I mean, it's a double album, right?!?! Enjoy!
Look for it on May 19th via Nature Sounds.
