Home, before and after is pervaded by solid songwriting and a truckload of additional instrumentation that might prove to be a dealbreaker for some.

Saltland - "ICA"
New TracksCommentStream: Saltland - "ICA" A mournful and desolate track from the forthcoming Saltland album, I Thought It Was Us But It Was All Of Us, which is dropping on Constellation Records this May.
Saltland is basically spearheaded by Montreal cellist Rebecca Foon, which is a name Thee Silver Mt. Zion and Set Fire To Flames might be familiar with. While the concept of the track streaming above might not be entirely novel, Foon has the undeniable talent to make layers of cello and soft vocals an enchanting experience.
Siskiyou- "Twigs and Stones"
New TracksCommentSiskiyou is a Canadian quartet that's readying to drop a second album via Constellation Records.
The band's approach to folk and folk rock has always been an experimental one, but this album sounds like it'll be sporting a much bolder sound. On "Twigs and Stones," Colin Huebert's vocals sound much more fragile and vulnerable, reminding me a bit of Spencer Krug's voice, actually.
Some joyous horn arrangements provided by Colin Stetson subtly introduce themselves and explode with the rest of the instrumentation perfectly. His fluttering sax runs toward the end of the track--you know, as the entire band is freaking out--are a great touch as well.
Sure, it's the only track to feature horn arrangements, but I hope every song comes off equally ambitious on this forthcoming LP. Lord knows these guys do a pretty great Neil Young cover.
Look for Keep Away the Dead on October 4th.
Woodkid- "Iron"
Videos3 CommentsPhotographer, director, musician Yoann Lemoine is a monster, seriously. Not only is the track backing up this video fantastically lush with huge drums and a skyrocketing horn section, but the video is absolutely immaculate, too.
You might want to sit down or this: Yoann's filmography also includes music videos for Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. How's that for versatility?
Yoann's solo project, Woodkid, just released an EP titled Iron. Grab it on itunes.
