Zelooperz - "Saggin" (Premiere)

New TracksadminComment

Previously mentioned Bruiser Brigade MC Zelooperz has been dropping new tracks here and there for the past few months, and they've been nothing short of wild. It's not his flow, but his over-the-top vocal delivery that's gonna catch your attention. Well, that and his near-nonsensical lyrics--"bodybuilder like a bolder" what?

The dude hasn't even dropped his new project yet and he's already close to matching the most insane moments from Old Dirty Bastard's sophomore album, which we all know is a benchmark for insanity in hip hop.

Zeloopers next tape is titled HELP, and it's dropping soon.

Young Fathers - "WAR"

New TracksadminComment

A brand new single from the Scottish experimental hip hop outfit Young Fathers. The group is getting set to drop a new full-length via Anticon on February 3rd. The title of this thing: DEAD.

"WAR" isn't one of Young Fathers' most hard-hitting tracks, but it is one of their strangest, alternating between intense stints of spoken word, and impassioned group singing. Enjoy!

Atomic Farmhouse- "CRAB CAKE"

New TracksadminComment

L.A. hip hop project Atomic Farmhouse is rough around the edges, but has a lotta personality to offer. Remember how I just said MF DOOM has a lotta influence on these up-and-comers? This is one of those cases, I'd say. However, that doesn't mean it should just be swept under the rug copycat style.

"CRAB CAKE" features a pretty colorful beat with some "oooo"-ing vocal samples, there's a sinister guitar interval that pops in around the 23-second mark, too. The whole thing sounds like it was all ripped from a 78 and thrown on top of a quickly produced beat. Grimy stuff.

The lyrics coming from what I think are two are even grimier, musing around selling some kind of nightmarish fantasy drug to people, and portraying the situation in a cartoony way. The track's two MCs--ANTI and LAWSON VLADIMIR--are pretty young, and their voices prove it. Though I think their flows and vocals could have more character, their lyrics are playfully dark enough to make up for it, and make this a mixtape worth checking out.

One track, 26 Rappers

26 rappers on one 22-minute track. Sounds insane, and it is, but Mishka curated it like it was nothin'. They tagged it with the title "Hyperbolic Chamber Music," too. The song's got a smooth instrumental that calls out to the g-funk beats the West Coast was pushin' in the 90s--even Kool A.D. spits over the track with a Snoop Dogg-inspired flow.

Download or stream the track above, and check out the MCs in order of appearance hee: MondreM.A.N., Squadda B, TRPLBLK, Chavis Chandler, Kool A.D., Big Baby Gandhi, Key Nyata, Isaiah Toothtaker, Joeybagadoughnutz, Dizzy D, Supa, Snaxx, Left Leberra, Don D, Rod Fuego, 9Gs, Zachg, Lakutis, Fat Tony, Lofty305, Lowercase, Himself the Majestic, Shady Blaze, Keyboard Kid, Antwon, Western Tink, and Chippy Nonstop.
