Gotta be among the weirdest and most admirable remix albums to hit the mainstream.

ReviewsCommentTree of Clues is an often wonderful companion piece to the original 1000 gecs.
Daftside Remixes Random Access Memories
New Tracks7 CommentsI know Nicolas Jaar isn't the most orthodox of producers, and made a ballsy move when remixing Grizzly Bear and Brian Eno on the same 12" earlier this year; however, I'm not sure anything Nick has done so far could have prepared me for this!
Mixing the name "Daft Punk" with the name of Jaar side-project "Darkside," Daftside takes every single track from the new Daft Punk album and remixes it in a strange, textured, and warped experience--a lot of the album's original funk still remains, though. While the remixes showcase some seriously passion for the music Daft Punk presented on RAM earlier this year, I wonder if keeping the "Lose Yourself To Dance" two seconds long is a statement of some sort.
Either way, the fact that Daftside was able to take tracks like these and bring them into a completely different realm shows focus, vision, and creativity. These aren't your average remixes. Enjoy, and check a review for RAM below:

New Chromeo Remix EP
New TracksCommentChromeo is just one of those bands that, for some reason, I feel like I have to justify my fandom. Sure, it's not deep or ground-breaking, and the lyrics can get pretty cheesy with one love story after another.
But Dave 1 and P. Thugg always pull together a great groove and even greater hooks. Plus, the retro direction the duo took its new album in, Business Casual, was kinda refreshing.
Chromeo has a new EP out for the track "When The Night falls." It includes the Business Casual track and four remixes of it, too. Word is there's a video on the way for the song as well. If it's half as sexy as the vids for "Hot Mess" or "Night By Night," I'm gonna break out in a sweat.
